Memphis got some snow! Everyone had a freak out cause nobody here knows how to drive in it. It wasn't a ton of snow but enough to have some fun in

I know it's all relative, but being a South Dakota Boy being slammed with snow doesn't begin until it is 15-20 inches or more. No shit, SD has had 35 ft tall drifts after big storms and wind. (check out pics from1949). I still remember 1997 when had 20 foot drifts and then in 2013 when we had 2 storms (one was around 30 inches and the other was around 50 in parts of the state). Thats why a lot of us own snowmobiles/snow machines.

looking forward to seeing some of the bad ass trucks conquering the white stuff.

Good to know. In my part of the world our summers are upwards of 100 degrees and we get one or two good snows up to 8-10 inches a year.

Yep, I used to live in Charlotte, so I know how it impacts the state. It gets CRAZY when the deep stuff comes. The ice is what really causes havoc

But why be gen specific when there are already so many TITS out there?

Down here in East Texas we may get a foot of snow once every 2 years, and then it only lasts about a week.
My long awaited, and much drooled over, suspension upgrade has come at last!!
I just installed King Coilovers, Camburg UCA's, Wheelers 8 pack leaf springs, Fox 2.0 resirvoir shocks, and installed Energy suspension "Hyperflex" suspension bushing kit.
Sometime next week im going to drive N in search of more monochromatic scenery.

FullSizeR.jpg xmass tree hunting, completely knowing better i attempted to turn around right there beings forward progress had halted. Stuck bigger than shit immediately once i was outta my ruts. Some quick shovel work yielded nothing more than heavy breathing and wasted fuel setting there idling lol. Decided to call my insurance to see if it would help out, the company i use is WARN. Ran a good bit of line out, didnt have an ideal angle or tree to pull from(amazing how difficult it can be to find a tree to pull from in a forest thats practicality dark from tree density!). Settled on a small shasta and gave myself a 3 inch tug forward and that was all i needed to get back in my ruts enough that i was free, then only had to back out like a mile, maybe more till i was able to turn around. That right there is why i love lil shorty reg cabs and winches are a must!! In my area both are quite useful and everytime i use my winch it pays for itself over and over again, they are so cheap when it gets you AND your truck home at night. People should never bitch about their cost!

    20161127_170047.jpg

20170107_135935.jpg my poor lil commuter taco...cold, lonely and left neglected without love in the driveway. That pic was taken yesterday actually. Snow pack has been awesome so far this year! Even been able to tke the sleds right from the house and go play! Just to the rightof the taco you can spot my sled parked there with a lil snow on it aswell. It had snowed a couple inches that night before, covering it up slightly.

Have a shit load of kick ass truck n snow pics but they're on my old phone, need to retrieve a few i suppose.
20170106_221716.jpg here's a better look at it for those curious. Went out last night for a good night ride, again from the house. Limited to riding roads of course but fun none the less when the opportunity is present! With this weather lately it has really pushed the elk outta the high country and they were all over on that night ride, everywhere!! Between "Whitey" the tacoma and my sleds im well equipped for fun in the snow and cant ever get enough of it! Summer comes way too fast and stays way too long! Sometimes id rather die than experience more heat and put up with another summer season...

Interesting lil tid bit for you guys not blessed with snow and snow sports or maybe just not snowmobiles or whatever the reason. That white sled of mine, well both actually, have 10plus more horsepower than both of them 3rz tacos of mie!!! Is that not crazy!? We're only talkin 2 cylinders here too!! Plus the weight to power ratio is fucking ridiculous!! The sled is a lil over 400lbs, whats the trucks, under 4000...gosh they get it!! So damn fun!
