35x10.5? What tire? I think I saw a TSL or Irok in that size, but can't remember.

I did this after finding mud in my airbox:

Cynicalriders "J0hnny5 is ALIVE!" 01 build thread.

I did it more for trying to cut down dust in the airbox, but should also help with this as well.

They are Interco SSR’s, a radial TSL. About worn out though and needing some new swampers.

That’s an awesome route to take, looks good. I will say, the snorkel keep the air box cleaner, just that does.

It's the route I want because I eventually want glass and getting a snorkel to work with glass is much more difficult to get to look clean.

That’s true, and I don’t mind the snorkel anyways. It’s about the only taco around here with one.
    I like the ND’s but I’m leaning towards Q78’s or 35x10 SX2’s

I used 20 gauge and just cut until the tire no longer rubbed at full lock and bump. I took 1.75 inches off the front fender and 1 in the rear.

I could’ve really used this thread a couple weeks ago. Here’s mine on 35s no lift, just front leveled with 5100s

    What's required?

    Firewall tubbing
    oh yeah. Oh shit yeah.

    Re-gearing the differentials
    lol nah

    Fender Trimming maybe a little
    [IMG]

    Wheel backspace
    more helps
16x8 4.25 backspace I think. Rubs frame still
    [IMG]

    Something else to consider-
Rubbing upper control arm on tire. Mine doesn’t rub at ride height but does rub significantly when it’s dropped. I need to put a 1/2” spacer on or something. I could trim the upper but the amount that would need to be cut may compromise it’s strength. And I don’t want to spend $800 on new control arms (insanely priced wtf). An actual wheel spacer will help with that. Stock 6 spike wheels with a small spacer will clear.

Are you guys crossing your cam bolts for firewall clearance?

Kind of curious with the LCA pushed as far forward as possible and a 1" body lift if a skinny 35 would fit with around 4" bs wheel. Not worried about frame rub.

Crossed up is maxed one way for fronts and maxed another way for backs right? Honestly your best chance is to get a similar setup, pull the coilover and try. When I tubbed, alignment wasn't taken into consideration at all.

Yes. Ill need to find a 35 to try it out sometime. Starting to recall all of my reasons for not going 35s though.
