I did my first tranny fluid change on my '22 TRD Sport today and all went well. The one thing I found surprising is that the drain plug did not have a magnet. I thought there was always one in the tranny. Is this normal?
    Thanks.

You bought your 2022 TRD Sport brand new? Main thing, you put GL-4 type gear oil in your manual transmission.

It was used. I used Redline GL4.

Magnet is built into the middle/bottom of the trans. Not fill plug.

Interesting, is there an easy way to get to the magnet?

Nope, buried deep in the trans.

Yes, I did the transmission only. I purchased the truck used with only 13k miles on it and I was a little worried that the PO didn't like the manual transmission and could have abused it. I am waiting until the normal mileage to change the diffs and transfer fluids.
