    My 2007 Corolla survived its first 5000 before an oil change, then even had a few 7000 mile stretches. At 250k I decided I wanted a truck and my Corolla was still running strong.

    Stop the insanity ... just drive your truck!

    I changed my first at 1,500 miles. Also just sprayed the chassis with fluid film .

    It's normal on the first oil change. Both my 3rd gens had a little bit of metal flakes in the filter. First oil changes were about 4500 miles on both.

    i did the first oil change at about 3K miles. i meet the criteria and follow toyota's recommendation for subsequent OCI of 5K miles.
