I went into my purchase wanting white for reasons entirely beyond what I liked. Thought I was going to Vinyl wrap for business stuff. Didn't do that.

Had I gone to the dealer without that plan I'd have purchased the Gun Metal Gray DCLB they had.

In the long run I'm a Storm Trooper SuperWhiteFTW cult member now...

Second choice. Waited too long and Spruce mica discontinued in 2015. I did order it to my specs however. Long 2 month wait.

I had a 2014 corolla leased for my ex...we split and she wasn't taking care of the car, missing service appoontments, let her 80 year old dad drive it and he side swiped someone, etc. Long story short I repossessed it and had to get off of the lease. I needed a new work truck, my 97 Nissan hard body single cab just wasn't big enough. The dealer who I leased the car from had a white prerunner dcsb - not my first choice but it was better than nothing, but literally wanted like $600/month to turn the corolla in and start a new lease on the prerunner.

I went to another dealer in town and the guy came back and said he could get me into the same truck - without the side step rails or the rims and tires for 350/mo, without a cent out of my pocket. That's a 250$/mo gap, so I jumped on it. My car is a black 2011 c63 AMG, so I'm really starting to love the white. I have my white truck and black car. Like the yin and the yang. Lol.

When i purchased my brand new 2012 Tacoma back in that year Toyota brought black back. Was not a fan of the previous BSP(black sand pearl)and no disrespect.Had driven black trucks for most of my life until 2007 when i bought a brand new 2007 white Tundra. At that time i was over black vehicles and when the time came to purchase a Tacoma i was lookin into getting a white, silver or MGM(metallic grey metal). When i realized Toyota had brought black back i gave in and couldn't be happier even with the attention to detail the color black comands!

Only settling I had to do was take an TRD Sport V-6 Access Cab PreRunner without Nav. FLTrucks fixed that for me.
Everything else was just what I wanted.

I have only ever owned black cars and trucks since I quit driving hand me downs. But I was in the position of having to buy a new truck so I went with what was on the lot. I like the silver most of the time, but I miss the ease of non metalic black touch up. It takes 2 different silver paints and clear to come even in the ballpark to cover rock chips and scratches. Thinking about matte clear plasti dipping the whole truck.....

Took about a two months 'til we found our DCSB TRD offroad super white with all the bells and whistles and buttons and shiet lol. If you're in the process of looking take your time and don't settle. Remember these trucks tend to last a long time.

I held out for what I wanted. I'll tell ya though, the damn dealer did everything in his power to change my mind. I really hate that.

Didn't really care about the color. I just didn't want to overpay for a Tacoma. These trucks are popular and it's well known. Most dealers in this area won't do a lot of moving on the prices because they know if you don't buy it the next guy will. So I found a truck that had been on the lot for over 90 days. That's important because dealers start to lose money on the vehicle after then because they start getting hit with finance charges. Gave the truck a thorough inspection. Came to the conclusion that it must have sat there because it wasn't a trd with a lot of options. It's an sr5 4 wheel drive. That's all I needed. I knew I was gonna change almost everything out so I worked out a decent deal and bought it.

Knew what I wanted and went in and ordered it. Knowing that it might be awhile before they got allocation, I told myself to be patient. Three months later, the dealer called and said they had a Pro allocated to them, but it was white. They said they were going to try and get the color changed to I inferno. Unfortunately, they could not change it, and received a white one. They asked if I wanted it and I passed. It took two more months, but they finally received the inferno with everything I wanted on it.

Glad I waited, I love the color!
