    Sup guys!?

I joined up to see if anyone could answer some of my questions. I am interested in the BMF Novakane 6 20x9, 6x5.5 DEATH METAL BLACK part# 461B-090613900 rims for my 2011 Toyota Tacoma. I know I will need to get a leveling/lift kit for it but I have heard I will need some wheel spacers also? If true, what size do you recommend with these rims? I've heard 3" but would like to know if I need them at all or if 2" or 1.5" would work also? I'll probably go with these tires HERE also.

    Thanks ahead of time!

Get them in 16 in for cheaper tires and where you rub depends on how big your tires are but yes you will probably rub everything without lifting and cutting shit off your truck

I appreciate the quick response but I NEED these rims and 20" is as small as they make them. I found this truck with a Google search and would like to have the same set-up. It says the owner has a 3" spacer kit and 3" body lift on Mickey Thompson ATZ 33x12.5r20. I'm just wondering if the 3" wheel spacers are needed as I have read this will wreak havoc on a front end and it being a new truck it wouldn’t be worth it.

The truck is actually from a member on here, "mpressive"

Anyone know if he is still a member?

Interesting. Just out of curiosity, $3,000 for tires and rims? I'm not hating on it, you're gonna be spending well over $1500 on mud tires that I'm assuming you're not gonna take into the mud out of fear for scratching up your rims. Now don't get me wrong, I like the rims. They look good. But why not just get a good set of A/T's instead? It'll be cheaper too. To fit 33's, the absolute smallest you can go is about 2", but you'll be grinding and trimming EVERYTHING. As for the width... I can imagine going with 12.5 wide, 2" or so should clear you.

I have wasted money on FAR less things before and this won't be the last either. I just love these rims is all and the look on that truck. Rims and tires plus window tint is all I'm doing to it mod wise so in the long run it all evens out.

mmk well if you like them go for it lol.

but you will have a hell of a time getting them to fit under the truck, hope your comfortable hacking away at stuff under there.. and beating on it :p

and as for the wheel spacers, what you want is hopefully your wheels will have enough backspacing to keep the tire from rubbing the frame at full lock, if it does go with the smallest spacer you can get away with.. because the more your tire sticks out the more you will have to cut to clear them.

Good luck! if you decide on a tire size ask again for more specific fitting.. along with the wheels backspacing

Go with the RCD lift and get a 33x12.50R20 and make sure your rims have the correct back spacing.

i'm running a 295/70/17 and i had to with almost 4 inches of lift cut my cab mount trim and use a heat gun to melt back my wheel wells.

the width is what will get you my wheels have 4.75 back space and while i don't claim to be the resident tire expert a true 12.5 inch wide tire is pretty freaking wide your going to have fun trimming for those puppies. while i like the wheels and think they look great on that tacoma imo i don't see the point in going to a 20 inch rim on a 4x4 truck it's expensive as hell and less functional if you want a bad ass wheel look into omf for some 16 inch walker evans with a trim ring

also check out the kinig countersteer off road and some of the other wheels jdm has for sale on tw they are nice! get a set of 33 12.5 tires with thise and at least enjoy a very capable rig.

thats what i would do bro:cool:

hey he doesnt have 3 inch wheel spacers.... its a 3 inch spacer lift... the biggest wheel spacer they make i think is 1.5 inches.

but get the rcd lift kit. (4.5 inches) and 33x12.5x20 shouldnt rub, you will be much happier

Never mind, I called BMF and they recommend a 32" tire to assure no rubbing. I don't really care that much about an inch and the tires are cheaper that route anyways so if I get the rims I'll do a 3" body lift on some 305/50-20 (32/12-20) tires.

    Now to find some tires!

Imo I would take your time and really research all the info these forums offer. Go take an hour or so and look at "tacoma builds". There is some incredible pics of members trucks and HOW they built them w/ the items list. Hell, I must have changed what I wanted 20x's while looking at all the builds...but in the end I got it nailed down to exactly what I wanted. Welcome to TW:)

    Thanks!

I know I REALLY want these rims though. I guess my question now is what are the least wide tire and widest tire I can use with these rims?
