Hey guys, Let me just say i am so proud to finally own a Tacoma! I have done quite a bit of research, but i feel i still have some un answered questions.

My platform is an 03 PreRunner with the 2.7L 4Cyl. also its a step side in case that matters.

these are my planned mods as soon as Christmas is over: ToyTec coilover kit with the Bilstein 5100 and Eibach springs, 2" ToyTec Shackles, and possibly Rancho RS5000 shocks for the rear. For wheels i want to do just the basic black steel pro comp series 52.

    My main questions are:
Is there anything wrong/missing in this mod list for it to be complete?
What size Wheels would be best? 15X8 3.75" backspacing?
and is it possible to put say 32X10 tires on above mentioned wheels?

Sorry to bombard you with so many questions, im just really new to understanding some things and would really appreciate any answers yall can give me! Once again so happy to be a Tacoma PreRunner owner!!!!

Congrats on your Tacoma. I'm curious about your lift choice for the rear, though. Why the Ranchos? Why wouldn't you go with extended length 5100's in the rear, or even 5125's? Personally, and this is just my opinion, I would recommend an add-a-leaf in the rear, combined with the aforementioned Bilstein shocks. If cost isn't a factor, then consider an entirely new leaf pack, such as Dakars.

well according to a guide i found on here, shackles are the best choice because they allow for more travel than AALs and cost is sort of an issue. heres what im referring to http://www.customtacos.com/tech/index.php?article=137

as for the rear shocks, I'm not sure why im going with rancho... MAINLY because im on a poor man's budget. know of a good site to get Bilsteins in the rear?

yeah i have read those and they where very helpful:D. but can anyone answer my question about wheels and tires? if i got 15"x8" can i put 10" wide tires on them?

Also are LR UCAs required for this setup?

You might want to go wider on the tires. Mine came stock with 9 1/2" tires (245/75/16) on 7" wheels and my off road tires will be (265/75/16) 10 1/2" on 7 1/2" wheels.
UCAs might be needed. I lifted 3" front & back and am running stock UCAs with no problem.

It came with 16"? I thought the 1st gens were 15". 10 1/2" is the stock size on the 2nd gen 7 1/2" wheel. Not sure on the wheel spacers for your 1st gen, I know I wont need them on my 2nd gen.

you won't have to replace the wheels. if anything, you might have to add spacers depending on clearance plus it'll give you a wider aggressive stance.

well i think ill have to be putting off bigger wheels and tires for now. thanks for all the info tho guys! i really appreciate it!

does anyone know if i will need any special tools for the suspension lift install? such as a tool that compresses the coil-over for assembly? or can i just adjust the shock height all the way up, put on the top plate, then install it fully extended?
