State law requires us to have fender flares over the threads of the tire
(I know they don't completely cover but it'll pass until I can redo them..

I have yet to find any on CL or the junkyards

This will have to do for now

The general consensus on TW is that body lifts are unsafe and should be avoided like the plague. I don't share this opinion but i definitely think a 3" lift is pretty extreme

I dont recomend a body lift to anyone is you plan to do any off roading. But that beinf said if you want want atleast get a good one from http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/ToyotaTacoma.shtml#Tacoma2a. I have no personal experience with then i just know what ive read online and it makes me not want one, with that being said ive also read online people never having problems with them.

I just remembered, if you a 4cyl you can get v6 coils and a daystar spacer and you will probably get close to another 2” maybe more like 1.5”

yeah, I read that body lift are not good but I'll take my chances:D

Thanks for the link, Just what I've been looking for!
My local 4wheelparts store said they couldn't do the daystar 1" but they could do a 3"BL and that I wouldn't be able to pass my reconstruction test if its that high.

    2" should be perfect

So I got my 2" body lift kit from 4crawler.com

Once reading the whole website and figuring out how to order a kit, I emailed Roger with what I thought I needed. He agreed to my choices and helped me make my order using his simple alphabetical kit choices.

I got 2" pucks w/Hardware, radiator brackets, front bumper brackets, steering extension, and bed spacers. (One bolt for the cab was shorter than all the others but it wasn't a problem since the 2 rear cab bolts are smaller than the fronts.)

The Cab was fairly easy but you NEED to make sure you unbolt everything before doing the lift. I didn't loosen the bolt on the transmission linkage, which made my shifter really tight. I also didn't relocate my radiator before the lift so the fan cracked my shroud and now it's hitting another part of the shroud. (Both problems were corrected) but other than that it was a pretty easy process.

Time was limited so we only got the Cab done which we thought would be the toughest. We will be working on the bed today while having a few beers!

I will post pictures of the progress later today

    Aloha guys\000/
