2” Leveling spacers...

    It won't be quite as extreme as that picture lol... but it will be pretty level eventually just through sag on the springs.

    This is mine with an empty bed, albeit on a slight incline, but just look at the front fender gap vs the rear. It's essentially level.

    Is that with a 2.5” or 2”? A friend of mine put the 2” on his Tacoma and it looked level to me that’s why when 4wheel said to go with a 2.5” I was torn and eventually went with the 2!

    And this was stock suspension with a bed loaded with stuff... so if you ever intend to use the truck as a truck and load up the bed, imagine yours basically doing the same, except sitting 2" higher up front.

    You keep referencing items from each type of spacer. :goingcrazy:

    One spacer lifts like a 5100(preloading the coil) and does not make the assembly any longer nor does it “compress the shock”. This is what we were debating if you look back.

    The other spacer makes the assembly longer and *if* the spacer is too large it *can* cause damage to the shock *if* you bottom out hard. You can space the bump stop to prevent this though.

    Yep. Because all types of spacers suck.

    Not necessarily. If a person sets the 5100 at the zero setting there's no pre-loading (i.e. compressing) of the coil. Or if you just buy better coils and shocks instead of throwing hockey pucks in your suspension to make the truck taller.

    The whole point is stated above.

    Lol “lifts like a 5100”. Obviously if a 5100 is set to the stock setting you won’t be lifting. :cookiemonster:

    To summarize, no you don’t need longer shocks and yes you should be VERY close to level depending on your rear leaf springs. The best way to know is to measure. Worse case scenario your front end could be ~1/2” higher in the front. It will be very close to level though.

    Well, yeah, but IME the second gens tend to sag in the back so lifting the front is the last thing you would do.

    That's what I was thinking... This is another shot of mine on level ground with 100% stock suspension. Its basically perfectly level as-is with a 2-leaf+overload stock leaf pack. It had been loaded up near it's max payload several times in the past, which may have caused it to sag some compared to when it was brand new.

    Well hmm I don’t see a sag in my rear end. It’s higher than the front so I’m keeping my fingers crossed on this one!
