    Hey everybody,
I recently purchased a 2013 DCSB TX Pro and have been doing a lot if research around here. The more I think about it, the more I think I should go for 2-2.5" lift and a set of 265/75 16s (on stock TRD rims). Most of my free time is spent in the mountains hunting and fishing and I really need a mountain capable vehicle (not a rock crawler). I like the option of adjustable fronts so I have the ability to go up to 3" and 285s (CMC) when it comes time to buy new tires in a few years. Anyone with similar set ups and pics? Any advice on a setup?

That's a sweet truck man, just what I'm looking for. Plan on adding a topper too. Thanks for the pic. Did you upgrade the shocks?

Are you talking billies & toytec coilovers?

885's or 886s with the bumper?

5100s with the toytec 620lbs coils. Not coilovers

Sounds like I need to do a little more research on coils+shocks vs. coilovers (pros vs cons)! Thanks for clarifying

Honestly 80% of the rigs on this site have 2-3" lifts and 265's. It's a great height/tire combo for a functional and clean looking lift.

Check my album for pics. OME lift. 884's and full Dakar pack. 265's.

I agree, it looks great. However, seems like most are 3" with lots of debate between 265 and 285s. Personally, I'm not ready for CMC yet. What shocks are you running?

Yeah i had to do the same when i was looking at lifts. Coilovers have the threaded adjustment to fine tune the preload/lift. While my setup (bilstein 5100s with toytec coils) has 2 clips available for the ammount of lift i want. Lowest clip is around 1.6 inchs and the 2nd clip is around 2.5. With the billies and ome you use the spring length/ weight or adjustment clips of the shock to determine the ride height of the truck

Old Man Emu Nitros. Don't go above 2.5 unless you are planning on getting aftermarket UCA's. Also, you start running into more wear and tear on CV's the higher you go. I went with 884 coils which give me around 2" up front. I'm happy with it. 2.5 would be the highest I'd go.

That's part of it too, local shop quoted me at $500 for CMC, plus UCAs, wheel spacers, and the cost of bigger tires/rims. Headed towards 2-2.5" and 265s, thanks for the input so far.

No one has really commented in how their setup handles offroad? Do you sacrifice anything performance wise between shocks+coils vs coilovers in the front?

They're the same, both are coilovers. Adjustable coilovers give you adjustability in ride height, a way to fine tune.

I wish I knew. It was on there when I got it. I would assume 886's.
