I didn’t have to build a separate harness, as I was just swapping from a push button t-case to a j-shift. I was able to use the existing wiring in the harness. For your purpose, I would imagine that you’ll just need to build a stand alone harness with the 8 leads for the transmission control relay, 5 of which will go to the ADD actuator motor and the others are either power, ground, or the wires from the 4wd switch on the t-case.

I know there are a number of good write ups on a 4x4 swap, perhaps @Area51Runner or @BartMaster1234 could shed a little light on what you need to do in your situation.

Dan is right. You’d have to figure out the correct signal flow utilizing the t-case sensors. I rarely see anyone doing a 4WD swap with ADD, because of the electrical you have to do to get it to work.

Yes I agree with that. I was on the looks for a 03-04 trans for over a year and couldn’t find anything decent priced. Then an 03 parts truck popped up on marketplace that I jumped on that had everything I need. But has the add front diff

I think I figured it out. @drr ,on the relay plug I'm supposed to run a jump wire from pin 3 to pin 9, to supply power to the 4wd position sensor. I saw that note as I was quadruple checking that we built it right.

Why do you want the 03-04 trans? That will have the electronic throttle, given it's an automatic.

Why would you do this and NOT convert to Multi-mode...?
    Aka 2WD+4WD+AWD

They're crushed daily across the country.

    Get the T-case, Attached Harness,
the Front shaft, and shorten the rear shaft.

    Boom Done.

    AWD circles on dry pavement.
Pairs nicely with 2 Helical diffs,
    front and rear.

Sorry for the confusion, I just updated my profile. I have a 2004 double cab prerunner that I just completed a 4x4 swap. I also swapped over the ecm and the entire harness for that computer
