I ordered a valve cover gasket set for my 2.4L and they sent me one for a 3.4 and a 2.7L so I have an extra.

they refuse to acknowledge that it says right on the packaging, that its for a 3RZ-FE, 2.7L engine. They also refuse to acknowledge that they sent me an extra kit for a 3.4L engine…. Ok? Your loss I guess.

since they aren’t being any help, will the 2.7L gasket fit my 2.4L engine? Just holding it next to the engine it looks the same size but it doesn’t quite look like it will follow the contour of my valve cover. Hard to say though.

autopartsway.ca if you are wondering. Horrible customer service.

Rock Auto shows the same part numbers for the 2.4 and 2.7L so I would say yes.

I've found that some aftermarket gaskets don't fit well though.

I'd reccomend doing the spark plug tube seals as well.

3rz to 2Rz bebuilt block and new heads
Everything is identical on the two engines at same year...with the exception of:

oil pump gear, the balance shafts and support gear....extra timing chain., gears, guides, and that tensioner....

and bottom pan is different....because they fit in different chassis.

2rz's get the brown injectors....and the 3rz's get the pinky's

As far as that gasket, I'd buy a new modern silicone gasket one......a good one...not a cheap one
sorry dont have a good link there...
