Hi. I have a 2003 Tacoma 2.4L base with auto transmission and 120k miles. Recently noticed some hesitation getting into gear...like when I put it in reverse to back out of driveway, then pretty much ok (for now) when driving). I thought I'd check the transmission fluid level, but for the life of me I cannot find a dip stick. Is there one and if so where. Otherwise how to check, guess I can bring it into my good guy at the local shop. Thanks for any info about this or the delayed engagement too. Rick

OK..just found it..way down on the driver's side of engine. Fluid was pretty low, barely registered. If each slot is a quart (not sure) it was at least one down below cold mark. I'll see if that addresses hesitation.
