2.5 inch lift questions

All tacoma's end up with different issues from what I read and hear. I think it's all hit and miss when you start lifting.
You'll learn a lot from the people on TW.They all seem very pretty good with their trucks. All I can suggest is read,read,read and take a shot at whatever seems to work for everyone.

 

I hear you on that dude, but im just trying to match what toyota did with the tx baja and now the trd pro series because if I can make what toyota made, I feel like that takes the majority of the guess work out if everything because its a near guarantee to work properly. You know what I mean lol?

I think this is the right place to ask for help. If I install a 3 inch front spacer lift (with new longer shocks) and a rear 2.5 inch spacer lift (with longer shocks) stock lief springs (there in good shape only 44k mile) on my first gen (2000) trd, do I need a diff drop or anythink like that? How bad of an idea does this sound? How big of tires and wheel cound I get on with this lift (function over look)? Would I need wheel spaceer? I have too many questions...any help would be great. I know its a cheep sounding lift...budget.
