2.5" Lift or 3" Lift

    2005 Toyota Tacoma Regular Cab 4x4
    2.5" lift. Bilstein shocks all the way around, Falken Rocky mountain ats2 265/70/17, BHLM, thrush welded muffler, bed liner undercarriage, fender flares and rocker panels, nfab light bar, led off-road lights, grillcraft grill with old Toyota emblem, secondary air filter removed, cb radio, extra hooks in bed, removed front mud flaps, painted pinch weld black.
    If i get Billy shocks do I need to get new coils as well?

    its going to be just as harsh as the stock shocks with spacers, just this way you will have a much better shock.

    Thanks guys for all the advice. I am just researching as much stuff as possible before I decide on what I am going to get. I think I might go with a 3" lift and get new UCA's. Will I need them right away or can I go awhile without them or does it depend on my alignment? What are some good cheap UCA's?

    you wont need them right away, but it will end up being something that you will have on your mind all the time till you get them.

    if you are riding stock tires then go for it because the stock tires suck... you can wear the shit out of them. Now the handling may suck but if you have bear with it then thats okay... as long as its close to spec then...

    now if you have expensive aftermarket tires I'd get them right away and get near perfect alignment.

    uneven tire wear can happen with your alignment even being off a little.

    close enough spec alignment is okay for safety reasons, but will handle worse then the perfect alignment, but your tires will wear unevenly...

    Been following this thread cuz I'm in the same boat. Looks like I'm going to do billies @ .85 w/ Toytec-Eibach springs which will give me 2.5" and the TSB will rake the rear slightly, which I'm fine with. I'll eventually get some TC UCA's...
