They're on a different angle than the manifold surface. Spacing it out causes the holes to be off location. This was known in the days of Tooter also, just no real solid way to remedy it. @B ill y sounds like he might have a plan with an offset spacer, hopefully we will see his results soon. Best of my knowledge, Tooter never did do anything with his. Just left the bolts out.

I found a thread on that catchcan also and think I may do that also. By the looks of it, it may be possible to eliminate both hoses??!! I need more time to read through it, but I "watched" the thread for the future. Thx for the info!

I noticed oil on my fingers when I was touching the inside intake parts and looked and the back side of the throttle body was oil greasy. So that was oil from the air system. I ordered the mishimoto (MMBCC-MSTWO) I bought that one cause I have mishimoto fans and it matches . there are cheaper ones. my plan is to put that on the output from the valve cover air hose 3/8" or 10mm(firewall left side back corner of cover it 90's to the right)from that nipple to the can. then from the can to the 1/2" or 12.7mm on the intake manifold (also back side) and eliminate the Toyota misl. Multi size BS. the hose I'm using is gate air (fuel) hose 3/8" part # 27004 , 1/2" part # 27006 fittings for hoses from the catch can are (3/8" npt to 3/8" barb) valve cover nipple , output side is 1/2" npt to 1/2" barb to plastic nipple on manifold. the 5/8 " hose on top of valve cover . I forgot about that one . mishimoto does have a 3 way set up for 2 in and 1 out (it has npt threads @3/8" so you just source npt barbs. you would have to find a manifold with 3 way mpt threads I've seen them in 3/8" for like 50 bucks divert from that to your stuff. I guess I jumped the gun on the 2 way can looks like I need to filter the 5/8" also . cause as of now this allows me to install the spacer but filter half of the system. I would have over looked that other hose and only lengthened it. just to get the project done . guess ill have to find those manifolds again.

here is a pic of the brackets. not mounted. there 50mm (2")thick. it was just a 2" angle with 1/4" strip welded and I still need to drill holes but figured I would wait till its all apart to get alignment perfect . the 1/4" will be tapped . only had enough time to make the stuff. and made the other brackets not specific to the spacer mod. but for the catch can and manifolds. and just cause , it looks cool. I made a clear cover for the intake box that will hold the catch can. everything is aluminum with spray texture to match intake pipe and stuff. hopefully next weekend I can get it all hooked up.

Do to the fact it’s 23mm from outside thread to out side thread. And the 1/8” aluminum in the middle. I got socket bolts cause it’s to tight for a regular bolt and socket.

Gotcha. Yeah, and there's no threads on the intake manifold, so that makes things a bit tricky. I've found some Z-shaped extruded aluminum online in various shapes and sizes, might have to order some and give it a try.

Have we determined the diameter of the smaller tube on the side of the manifold? I want to do this soon but I'd rather swing by AutoZone on my way from work with my truck lol.

I'm going to say 9mm on the truck side, and 12mm on the intake side. Those are ID numbers. I agree, it is definitely bigger on one side.

Not that I can find online? Samgoingham said he found some at the car parts store, might check it out. I'm sure they'll have something that will work.

1/2” at the plastic but could heat up some 3/8” and stench it. If you had to. Don’t break the plastic nipple . The manifold is 250-300. The pcv valve on the valve body cover go’s to the manifold nipple. If you were to bypass the stock metal piping.

How long does it take for the engine to find itself. Put spacer in and truck just revs up in down at first . Now it’s stuck at 1500rpm for the last 10 minutes. Shut off turned back on still just stays at 1500.

I didn't have any issues? Are you sure everything is hooked back up correctly? Plug wires, sensors, etc all plugged back in? That's wierd, it shouldn't cause any idle issues as it didn't "do" anything to the engine?
