So a few weeks ago driving home from work, started stumbling under acceleration and misfiring. Barely got it home. Codes for multiple misfire, maf, and tps. So I cleaned the maf with maf cleaner, and the throttle body with tb cleaner. Also cleaned up the iac valve. Ran fine for about 15 miles then symptoms came back but felt worse. Got it to a friend's and Pulled codes for o2 sensor b1s1, system to rich. Also found my exhaust manifold was cracked. Anyways, dove in and tested all sensors, relays, wires and the ecm. Fixxed some wires that had an open, and replaced tps. Friend tig welded the crack on the manifold. Start it up, still running like shit. Starting to get frustrated....
Finally got the headers I ordered today, got em in, also new o2 sensor b1s1, fuel filter, spark plugs, pcv valve, vacuum lines. Started it up, idled great. Soon as I gave it some gas, hesitated, back to good idle. Gas again. Hesitation, then stalled.. What am I missing?????
Sorry for writing a novel. Lol

Fuel pump is a possibility. Check fuel pressure?

That was the plan for when I got home from work today, but my ride bailed on me and everyone else I asked wouldnt reply, So I just spent my night walking 7.5 miles

The fuel pressure regulator crossed my mind today, being it was just symptomatic under load, I hate how there isn't a Schrader valve on these!! The inconvenience!

245k. Dealer told me the digital mile counter was from a donor that was within 15k of original. so it could be anything really. I could believe that the odds, for my pump being a factory to, are most likely. Owned it 9 month's now, this is my first major problem with it. Only other repairs I've had to do on it were the cv's and axle shaft seals.

If you’re looking in the Chilton manual, I believe they have a few avenues to look into.

Ya I got a Haynes. Pump's resistance is in spec. Same with injectors, coils, wires, and the ecm. Picking up a new pressure regulator today since I read a thread that mentioned its a common culprit.

    Solved!!!!!!!!!

Replaced fuel pump and pressure regulator!
Drove the taco to work for the first time in a month!! Got a bit of a high idle but it's expected after cleaning the throttle body, did notice a minor intake leak on #4 injector by spraying brakleen around the intake.

No doubt. Just wish these motors had a Damn valve for checking fuel pressure

I was having similar issues and I narrowed it down to a fueling problem. I installed a tee to a pressure gauge between the fuel filter to the fuel rail and even though my injectors resistance tested fine, it turned out they were leaking down pressure immediately after shutdown. Replaced the injectors and it fixed drive ability issues and the hot no start issue. Hope this helps.

Well considering I was getting codes pulled for each part replaced and testing each part before I made the purchase, id say it was necessary. I also understand that a faulty part can cause others to show symptoms of failure, so when I test each part/sensor individually, and it fails, I could safely assume that part needs replaced. I'm not one to just throw parts at it and pray.
