2019 2.7. Been getting very loud ticking / cracking noises when I get home from a long drive and turn my truck off. For a few minutes very loud cracking / ticking noises seem to be coming from manifold area. I know heat has to cool down, just curious if this seems normal to everyone else. Thanks!

Is the sound like when you drop cold water on a hot pan?

Nope, like a typical hot block or exhaust system, cracks and pops from expansion contraction. Like whacking a heat shield with a screwdriver (heat shields are all tight). Just giving you a reference for sound. It just seems extra loud. And standing right over it, it’s around the manifold connection or very edge of valve cover on manifold side. It’s running normal temps, runs great, just the loud tick tick when I get home with it up to full operating temp, then shut off. Will also do it between my service stops.
