I have a 2013 toyota tacoma trd off road with a 2.7L engine. In order to do an oil change, do I have to remove the skid plate in order to access the oil filter.

Sorry, never done an oil change on a tacoma. First time owning a tacoma.

I went to a local shop for an oil change and they wanted over $100 to do it. When I can buy it at the autoparts for $40

You shouldn't have to remove the skid plate, unless it's fly by night aftermarket crap.

I'd recommend adding a fumoto valve while you're under there though
