    LCE Header Amsoil BP Filtration
    Took it off today after on for a couple of months. Bottom end took a beating. Like a lot!! Pulled my quad several days ago in hilly terrain. It felt dead until I got rollin’. Even empty the bottom end is really disappointing. Mid to top pulls way harder. I could not believe it. But my rpm is usually below 2 grand, as well when shifting. This 2wd is geared for highway. 2 grand at 100 km/h. And 4th gear is only 2500 rpm at 100 km/h.
    “Ahh”, it is so nice to lift clutch off idle and low rpm shift points are do-able again without having to nurse the gas.
    The stock intake set up has much cooler intake temperatures when sitting idling as per Scanguage.

    I have seen 50 deg C intake temps with HPS followed by B O G. HPS absorbs heat. Mind you that is idling for long period with A/C on at 30-35 C outside temps. Not too often we have temps like that here in S. Ab. and I rarely idle except at intersections where intake temps hit 35 C. Drops as soon as you start accelerating.
    Anyways…….
    Cold start idle stayed up longer.
    Fuel economy dropped.
    Leave air intake stock.

    I do love the LCE header. On ten years now. No exhaust shield does not help either with intake temps but not much of an issue with factory intake. ??? Better insulated???
    Hot water tank foil wrap helps temps drastically around intake tube which is right above exhaust.
    All n all, night and day difference over stock header. It’s a different truck comparably and tractor like low end and mid and top. Maybe more noticeable with the 5 speed? This I would not go back.
