I've been doing a little mockup for a side dump in front of the pass rear wheel. I have a question about cat delete using a urd rear sensor simulator. So I'm planning on removing the cat and bolting the rear flange to the downpipe and leaving the o2 sensors in their factory location. Will I have issues with the up and down sensors being so close together or will the simulator just work?

You will probably still get an occasional code for the rear O2 sensor - the simulator is just adjusting the signal coming from the sensor, not completely replacing it. Moving the sensor closer to the downpipe may increase the frequency that the code appears. Oddly, when I first got rid of the rear cat and installed the simulator, I got a code every couple months or so, but now I almost never get it.
You could also move the sensor back downstream if it ends up being a problem with a weld-in sensor bung.

Ok I didn't want to start hacking until I had a rough idea that it will work. I guess if I have to I can always move the sensor further back afterwards.

    Do you off-road?

If so that may not be a good location for the exhaust tips.

Yes I do. I'm tucking them up an inch or two higher than they are in the picture. Eventually sliders will be made but that's after a lift. I can't afford any more weight without a lift. Right now it is a on road truck. Stock hight and 33 12.5 is a good combination for lots of tire rub.

The CEL came on about 10 miles after I removed the cat and after I cleared it 3. Once i get the simulator i will do an update.
I still have a couple hangers to add and it will bring it up and in a bit.

A 3" cutoff wheel and then just deburred with a dremel bit. I'm going to put some of the extra trim for the flares on the edge.

Does it seem louder as a side exit closer to the cab?

It was stock before... Yeah it's loud. I did a cat delete, dynomax ultraflow welded 2.5 in and out. Also the little bit of pipe to the exit is 2.5 hand made corners and tig welded. No idea where the tip came from ive had it for years.

Take the rear o2 sensor out of the pipe run a ground wire from one of the bolt holes on it to the chassis somewhere and tuck the sensor up above the heat shield in the fresh air. No simulator needed if you do this. Been running mine like this for 3-4 years and have only had the light come on twice in that time. Also passed emission test like this as well.

What about dust mud snow ice salt water sand and any other stuff that the sensor is going to experience after it is exposed to the elements? I'm thinking it would last a single winter in the area I live in before it rusted itself into a million pieces...
