Keep the 4 cylinder and dependability , or sell it for the 6 ,figure out the cost then double it and I bet you will still have issues with it.

I just installed this weekend. Bout 20 hours, but working solo. I fucking love it man. I already did break in period, and I’m not even on the preferred 93 octane yet.. it’s pretty fricking cool

 

Did stage two set up. Not too sure pulley size changed… but it required the cat delete and the piggyback ecu definitely tuned to it

 

Just swap in a 5L Ford F150

I would buy a 4 cylinder Ranger before a 4 cylinder Taco.

 

Please tell us this is a joke; you have to know "94 octane" fuel won't do diddly for extra power.

 

It gives you 7 more power-ups than 87.

 

Sorry, not sure what that means. The fact is, higher octane fuel will not improve power for an engine not designed for the higher octane fuel.

 

Octane is the square root of horsepower. When you increase octane by 4 points, you get 16 more horsepower.

 

Did you twist the dizzy too? If not, that extra octane is giving you the square root of fuckall.

 

I dump two bottles in every tank, for twice the HP, twice the acceleration, and more MPGs as well!!!

5.9 6BT swap before any v6

 

Put a GM 478cu (7.8L) V6 gasser before that 6BT diesel nonsense. Put a 7.8L V6 engine in the Taco, and end up with less horsepower! (they made about 235HP, but 440 lb/ft of torque). Shows you how far we’ve come with technology.

Kinda reminds me of a Cessna 310 Continental O-470 7.7 liter engine, i think they produce about the same HP as well. designed for long hours of continuous output and still remain serviceable

If you run 94 octane, and 5w30, you will feel the difference. The power boost from the octane, coupled with better lubrication and higher compression from the 5W30 will blow your doors off. Add nitrogen to your tires, and every day is track day.
