2.7 Valve adjustment?

    Is the ticking the valve tapping the head or the cam lobe or something else? This is a question for all?

    I hope I have enough to make it all in spec, as someone said before this makes for a long drawn out process.

    Yea it is a pain to have to pull the shims just to measure and put back, then do it again!

    I was lucky enough to have a friend that was a Toyota mechanic and had a collection of shims. He just let me borrow his set and I just swapped shims out of his.

    Well it looks like I will have two 2.65mm shims and six 2.7mm shims if anybody needs them.

    I finished today; one of my intakes that was fine before was a little tight now .0055”; the rest were good; I’ll let everyone know how the cam lobe turns out long term.
    I fired the truck up and it runs rough just like it did before.
