When I install it I'm probably going to leave it as-is for a while unless it needs additional fuel mods. My PLX wideband A/F sensor arrived today, so I have plenty of time to get that installed before the S/C arrives.

And I know what you mean about the wait, but I probably won't be able to install it until the summer due to my job. We'll have to see how complicated the install is when it arrives.

are you doing the install yourself or paying someone to do it?

if you install it on your own dime you should do up a how-to for someone else who may need it.

PLX works well so far. It's fun to watch the numbers move around as I drive. I wish I had a shop I could just bring it to into and work on it, but this is going to be a backyard project for me, haha.

The next time I'm in NY I'll keep an eye out.

And as with you, STILL waiting patiently.

curious if the towing capacity would go up with a supercharger. would be a killer option, or i'm stuck trading in the truck! about to pick up a new boat and would be looking at 4-5 grand of towing.

It's not so much the engine. If you compare to the 4.0L 2x4 trucks, they have the same tow rating. It's all in the frame/suspension. Normally these trucks have a tow rating of 3,500. If you get the tow package, it's rated at 6,500, but those only come on the V6 4x4's or Pre-Runner.

I guess someone is trading in their truck.

I shot them an email two days ago and they said they're in the final stages and will be sending over freight information .YEAH!
