Hey y'all, first post, my dad recently told me he would be giving me his 05 4 cylinder and I've been really excited, because I worked this summer and made an extra couple thousand to put into it. When I get my permit / license this'll be the only thing I'll drive for a few years and I want to make it feel more mine. I've been looking into cold air intakes and exhaust systems for a bit and can't decide between the Magnaflow (12255 or 12586) or the Flowmaster (maybe 40 or 50 Delta?) If anyone has any pros / cons to either that would be greatly appreciated!
The whole truck is stock apart from front bumper and fenders since my dad hit a deer a couple years ago :D
    Thanks in advance

Also, any other performance or purely cosmetic mods you would recommend to start out?

Id say get some good all terrain tires before the CAI and exhaust.

Do you think I should get all terrains for what would be a daily driver? I've heard all-weathers are the more popular option but you know more than me :)

Hard to say, I live in NC and if you did too you'd know what I mean when I say it's either 0 snow for a year or a blizzard.
I'm not too worried about snow but also don't want to be stranded due to the occasional snow storm

Pretty much anything is better than the stock dunlops! I got some 2020 TRD OR takeoffs with the Goodyear kevlars and they’re way better in all conditions than the stock tires.

Thanks I'll definetely look into those. My truck is 2WD will that change what tires I'll need or should those you mentioned work on either?

I run yokohama all terrains on my 2wd chevy colorado work truck. Def. helps with traction in the winter. Thankful my company provides me with a work truck but living up north they could have splurged for 4x4 models.

in regards to other mods I would say to look into stuff that suits your needs or has some wear. How are the brakes? Are the shocks and struts worn? Think of things that will improve the drivability of the truck and then add mods that may just be cosmetic. Depending on who you talk to a CAI and exhaust could be considered cosmetic. Still unclear if they actually provide measurable performance depending on who you talk to. IMO its a 4 cylinder and Im not sure how great exhausts sound on those engines. My previous truck was a sierra with a 6.2 in it. I went the exhaust route because it sounded awesome and solely bought it because of the sound.
