I ordered a TPMS strap kit. This will allow you to use the stock steel wheel TPMS which is mounted on what looks like a hose clamp, in a cradle, inside the wheel.

    Other options, yes, include:

    1) getting rubber stems and driving around with the light on
    2) finding a tire shops that understands "turn the sensors around 180 degrees and they will fit"
    3) getting somebody to remove the bulb in the warning light
    4) do a full TPMS disable

Since I have a 2014 and don't want to tip off the dealer that I've done anything to it while the truck's under warranty, I'm going with the strap kit. That way the light will stay off, I bought TRD rims so it looks stock and my light will be off.

Gave Mr. T a bath today. Cleans up nice but I can't wait to get the new rims on.

Here's what a strap kit looks like. Cross your fingers!

I should know the answer to this since I bought a muffler and welded it on but I can't remember now. Search for a cat back magnaflow exhaust and in the description there should be a muffler part number. Copy that and search the part number on magnaflows website. Boom!! Haha or I can measure the inlet and outlet for you as I have a muffler sitting in my garage

When did Toyota interchange the oil filter YZZG1 for the YZZD1?

Yup, I do. That's why it took so long to find it. Convenience automatic, yes. Convenience manual, no. Manual with no convenience in single cab, yes.
Everything else, (TRD crazy limited) yes.

I at least need convenience. No hate, but roll down the window? Seriously? ROLL down the window!?!?! lol

In a quick search I did I saw references to it as far back as 2007.

Wierd. The last dealer oil change used the old filter and they gave me the new filter when I bought them today.

Right. I see references to it that long ago - but not that they stopped making one altogether and replaced it with the other. Some of the forum posts seem to indicate they started making the newer filter in Thailand while the old one was made someplace else. They may not have phased it out for some time. It looks like both filters were used in a lot of different engines.

That's cool we essentially have the same truck minus the color and your new rims. My first tacoma, the one in my signature, was a base model. I actually enjoyed the simplicity of it but I couldn't get a sliding back window on my 2014 AC without the convenience so I decided to get the package. I ran into a guy the other day who has a 2005 base model AC same color as me and he had the sliding rear window. It's interesting to see what toyota offered in different years.

I thought that the sliding window would be a standalone option, but I guess not. Toyotas seem strange that way.

If it was stand alone like that guy had on his 2005 then I would be rolling down the windows.

looking to get an access cab very soon with the 4cyl manual 4x4 with only the convenience package but I did go down to the closest dealership today and test drove a regular cab 4x4 with the manual transmission and it had manual windows. would get the one I test drove but I have kids so I need the jump seats in the back. I drove the access cab 4cyl auto 4x4 and didn't like the auto but love the manual 4cyl 4x4. looking at other cars, trucks and SUV's but I think I am sold on the Taco AC 2.7 manual 4x4. I drove the 6cyl and didn't like it as much and the 4cyl. oh and I also want the base model because I really like the look of the black plastic front and fenders. :D

Gonna be going to the dealerships at the end of the week to see who can give me the best deal and that is who I will be going with. I have it narrowed down to three vehicles right now that I really like and the Tacoma is my number one but its going to come down to which deal turns out the best. Its either going to be a 2014 Tacoma 4x4 4cyl manual AC, 2014 F150 STX supercab 4x4 sport or a 2014 FJ cruiser in Army green.
