And as I understand it models that don't have sport seats get the table thingy on the fold down passenger seat. Not necessarily convenience but unique.

Huh? Like no one will talk to you? Come to the TN thread. We'll talk.

And they do make a double cab 2.7 in the newest model.

That's a pretty relevant comparison for me. I actually am coming from a 2004 WRX STI. While mine is turbo charged and significantly faster than a n/a boxer I can definitely tell how it would feel down low without a turbo. Enough torque to get by and get the truck moving.

I'm mainly sweating the access cab vs double cab decision. I don't mind the idea of a smaller bed for more interior space. It's just a tough decision because I can definitely see both sides to that coin.

New Englanders are not known for being friendly, for the most part. I remember once driving on a trip south and being amazed at the differences.

My brother has had successive 4wd Subaru Loyale/Outback wagons for years. The engine reminds me a great deal of those.

I guess I'd say if you are planning on having kids or getting married or anything there's no disadvantage to having a double cab since it has the 'real' back seat. But for day to day operations for people in 2+dog households or where you will be driving alone most of the time it seems perfect. I really like the suicide second door on access cab trucks.

Love this feature! Its the biggest reason I went with a 2nd gen over a 1st gen 2.7

Nice to see a tacoma identical to mine. I replaced the stock steelies with OEM aluminums as well. Also went up to 265/75/R16 BFG All Terrains recently. Noticed a slight loss in acceleration, but the off road capability and aesthetics are worth it. Also helps that I have a manual transmission.

Yeah, the stock tires aren't really all that beefy.
Do you know the weight diff between a stock steel and an alloy? Maybe its psychological but my truck feels lighter and a little quieter with the alloys.

I notice you got Wet Okoles too. How are you liking them? I'm thinking of ordering solid grey with bright orange piping.

I also have a 4cyl, 5spd, 4x4 AC (2011). It was actually what I was searching for and I found one at the local dealer with 18K on it.

Thanks. The deer were not pets, it was wild but they were very tame around the house, I would lay down potato chip trails around the truck for pics! lol

I thought that you would enjoy a photo of my detailing cabinet.
(They're still not talking to me in New England lol)
    I am a little obsessed.
Tip 1: Klasse All in One on the windshield acts like super Rain-X. Nice when you don't have intermittent wipers?

I'll have to try klasse, I've been using rain x religiously due to not have intermittent wipers. And don't feel bad about the New England thread they don't talk to me much either.

OEM steel wheels weigh about 26lbs each and OEM alloy 22lbs each. At least thats what I found searching these forums. OEM alloy felt lighter when carrying in and out the garage than steel. My truck also felt lighter after installing OEM alloy wheels.

Wet Okoles fit real nice, enhance the appearance, also keep my seats dry after surfing. I do notice that dust really sticks/shows on these covers. Could just be more noticeable since my covers are all black. Also stain somewhat easy. I have the cleaning kit, which I have yet to use though.

Wheels: ok. It was only 12 total pounds of psychology.

Dust. Hmm. My WetOkoles, if I did it, would be light grey. I dunno. I'll have to think about it. I am always putting down a blanket for the dog and this just seems like less work.

Sbh, the Klasse is a good product for an all-in-one. I had so many coats of it on the windshield of my car that I barely ever even had to use the wipers. Now...ironically...if it would STOP RAINING I could go put it on the windshield of the Tacoma. The other Klasse product, the sealant glaze, isn't all that much of a wow product but I've always like the AIO.

The intermittent wiper is an easy fix. I replaced my stock one with one out of a camry. Easy to do. Made a big difference with driving here in Colorado:D

It didn't rain like this here when I had intermittent wipers. Jeez, I don't think I've replaced a wiper blade on a car in over five years. Little Klasse on the glass and boom...
