Yep I swapped from the stock Dunflops P245/75/16's to BFG All Terrains LT265/75/16's and went from averaging 26mpg to 23.5 mpgs. Also doing this made my speedo correct, from the factory it was 2 mph off.

Looks good. Are you figuring MPGs from actual or your odometer that is now off? With my 255/85/16 BFG KM2s I travel 10% more miles than than odometer reads.

Any ideas on the difference between miles actually traveled and what is reported on the odometer?

This could be really beneficial for preserving the warranty and when selling ;)

    With my 255/85/16s (33.3") it's off by 10%.
Best way to tell is with a GPS. I reset GPS & trip odo every time I fill up.
Or you could use mile markers on the road on a long trip.

My speedo is now correct as far as actual mph. My odometer is off by 3.7% - difference in the two tires. At 10,000 miles my odometer actually reads 9,600. I have an ultra gauge and have done the distance calibration for the tires as well as the fuel calibration. I use the distance trip on the ultra gauge which is correct instead of my odometer. My ultra gauge is accurate to the .1 mpg :D

They do get the info from the same place.
With stock size tires (245/75 or 265/70) speedo reads high (more MPH than actual) but odo reads correct.
If you bump to 265/75s speedo is now corect but odo reads low (less miles than actualy traveled).
If you go above 265/75 speedo & odo both read low.
With my 255/85/16s when the speedo says 70 I'm doing 75 and my odo says I traveled 10% less miles than I did.
Next time you fill up the tank reset the trip odo & the trip info on your GPS, then check them both when you fill up again.

Because they print the speedo gauge fast to avoid law suits. All manufactures error on reading to fast, some more than others.

Does anyone here have -just- the "Convenience Package" on their 2012? Just the 2.7 (manual or auto, looking for manual) with the 6 foot bed and no other options. If so, do you have the steering wheel mounted controls?

Mine came with the "Convenience package" and has everything but didn't have steering wheel mounted controls, and I feel like it should have included that. Toyota told me to talk to my dealer, who sucks, and see what they say. They said that I'd have to find examples of people with the same options and see if they have the steering wheel controls.

Do you have power windows, privacy glass and keyless entry?

I have the convenience on my '13 and it does have the steering wheel controls. But I believe this was changed once the started including the touchscreen radio in the 2013's as standard.
