Nothing wrong with Hankook tires Brother! Don't know if I would have the white lettering on the outside though. But hey it is your truck enjoy!

Yes sir! And then I got the single one for my spare. Just added both to my cart and checked out.

I think that sale ends at the end of today or at midnight tonight I believe. I did my research and checked Discount Tires website and turns out I should be eligible for a $50 rebate as well, just got to go through print out the form and fill it out and mailing it in with I get my printed out invoice from eBay or something.

Some Toyota Tacomas look really good with no white letters, it just depends on whether the truck is lifted, what's the base color of the truck and the wheel style, sometimes it just looked off. I I had a double cab short bed lifted MGM I wouldn't run white letters out but yet some of them seem to look okay.

I guess I just got turned on to Toyota back when Marty McFly had his black Toyota truck in Back to the Future, ever since I saw chrome wheels and WLO it just looks really good and sporty to me. However since I have a base model truck with the black fenders and black bumpers and silver wheels and the dark window tint and my black tool box I'm really hoping that the white letters will make it look a little bit sportier.

I really wish I had three more black steelies to run WLO!

Most important thing to me is that I've got a slightly larger tire that's going to be a whole lot better than my dunlop's were in the snow we had this year back in January and February so we'll see what happens this winter.

Ome.... if you get dakars you'll need extended rear brake lines. I recommend Ucas as well

I want to throw this in here not limited to the access cab but for the 4cyl. Looking at different engine mod options for the little guy. Ive done alot of looking on here and found out some good info for instance the lce header being the main hp and low end torque mod as far as intake goes ive seen the afe cold air intake is popular along with the injen intake. Some have done a intake manifold spacer by @tooter but dont know if those are available anymore or if tooter was the only guy to make them. Im looking to see what other people have done other than these mods listed or if there are any other mods on the market that can compare to these. Dont know if there is a supercharger for these yet either but would like to if there is. Ive seen one guy do a turbo setup he did himself and also dont know if there are any on the market. I know im not the only one looking for these answers so if anyone could chime in that would be great.

Lol... They just showed up yesterday,

Probably going to have them put on Thurs, or Fri,

Going out of town on Sat morning and might wait until next week but am not sure just yet.

As soon as they are on I'll update for sure.

Going to weigh them as well on my regular scale, or rather weigh myself and deduct the difference as it's easier to carry it inside and stand on the scale. Ha!

    Teaser Pic!

Hey Greenbean what size are you going on the Hankooks? I have the SR5 AC stock suspension 4x4 with a Leer Cap (2.7 of course) and have been giving my self headaches over the Dynapro SP 265/70r16 or 265/75r16. I have the base Toyota Steel rims as well... YES please send pics as soon as possible...

    I went 265/75/R16 P metric, or 4-ply.

Don't get me wrong, I wanted to set up BF Goodrich KO2 but in that size they only come in a 10 ply, now you can get a 265/70/R16 in a KO2 but my Lord they're expensive, and I believe still 8-ply. Don't qoute me on that. Hahaha

My actual second choice in a tire was going to be the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs because they do a 6 ply in a 265/75/R16.

But again I couldn't justify the cost as hopefully first quarter next year owe are going to trade in this truck in for a four door or maybe even a 4Runner, however I wanted a better tire for snow and wanted to go up just a little bit in size because it's going to give me about four to five hundred bucks on trade in any way.

    I hope, lol...
IMHO Almost any tire is better looking on a 4 X 4 Tacoma than the stock Dunlop's in a 245 variant.

Greenbean do you have stock suspension on your Tacoma? I still have the Dunlops and they are looking tiny. YES, I like the weight of the Hankooks in a 4 ply for our 2.7 engines but Im wondering if 265/75r16 is too big for everyday highway/street driving on a stock suspension??? Please show a side/level view of your truck when you get a chance. Thanks...

265's should be just fine for you man i got 285 ko2s dont know what ply but my 2.7 pushes them alright a little sluggish but it gets around just fine. I may re gear to 4.56 when i get the chance just to turn them easier but for now it does decent and since your looking at a smaller tire just pull the trigger and run with it IMO

    Sure do,

I have seen many a 265 on a stock truck and to me it's fine.
But from tire to tire sometimes they look larger or smaller depending.

The thing is once you run 265 75 16's you will never look at purchasing a 245 75 16 ever again!!!!!!

    Travelin,

Which step bars are these? They look like nfab cab length nerf steps, but I can't find a part number.

    Thanks.
