My last tankfull was 22.3mpg, 405 miles, 18.3 gallons. The fuel light wasn't on yet, but I suspect is was coming soon.

All 55mph two lane or light urban driving. A dozen or so short trips (around ten miles return) with a cold start (40-50deg). All driving like my grandmother at the speed limit or very close to it, 58mph max.

I don't know what you'd need to do to get the 26mpg Transport Canada says this truck gets on the highway...

I bought my '09, 4wd, stick shift AC about three months ago. It got around 22-23 mpg at first. I didn't believe it the first time it got 28 mpg, but the last three fill ups were better than 26. Mostly mountain and highway driving, rarely over 60 mph.

My 2012 stock Tacoma is a regular cab, 2.7L, manual tranny, and I quite often get about 20-22.5 mpg city / 25-27 mpg on the highway. I just turned 2200 miles on the odometer. Worst has been 20 mpg, and the best was 26.88 mpg

I am very pleased to say the least

I have a 2.5 inch lift and 33's and get around 20-21 with 90% city and 10% highway. If i drive really slow and shift at 2000 rpm I actually average 1mpg less or the same then driving normally.

Are you adjusting your distance computation to allow for the 33" tires?

I've been getting around 24mpg lately (sometimes better) and haven't been particularly easy on the gas compared to how I typically drive. Pretty good considering the size of the truck... probably better because of the summer gas blend.

    Trending..... All over the map.

    Heavy traffic kills it.
Traffic sucked today... UG dropped from 25.3 to 24.8 on the 40 mile trip home.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
23 mpg on last tank, all around town. Summer gas I guess. I get 18 to 19 on the long highway drives. No cruise. Guess I need to add that.
