My hose is leaking so I want to swap it out with a new one. I also have a brand new powersteering pump sitting in my garage so that is going in as well.

How difficult is it to get the old hose off the rack and the new one on? I looks like there one hard line that goes to the rack and a banjo bolt on the pump? But I don't see that I have to flare the lines or anything as it comes all set up. Trying to get everything ready for the job.

Tired of hearing my old pump whine.

Because you're in the rust belt there's a huge risk of the line rounding.

I would suggest is make 100% sure you have the correct line, and if it starts to round: Cut the line and use a 6 point socket, this will greatly reduce the chance of rounding, even with a flare wrench or crows foot.

That right there is a very good idea... if it's going in the trash can anyway, and I can get at it to cut it off, I'm cutting it if it looks the least bit questionable.

Thanks, yes I am worried about this. That's a really good idea! Probably should get under there and hit that spot with some PB blaster right now just to help.
