    Mine didn't show any signs of fatigue or poor performance. Walked out one more and drove to work and when I came to a stop... Truck was shacking and sputtering, so it can have a burnt valve just like that.

    I will for now on check every 50k no matter what.

    OME and worth every penny.
    This is why getting a large supply of them from donor engines would make so much sense, they are available in much smaller increments than you can buy new. At the dealer you can buy 1.60, 1.65, 1.70 etc,etc, but out of the junkyards you will find 1.61,1.62,1.63 etc.

    A guy bought a full set if you do a search and just asked that any shims used, get replaced. It would help if a bunch of us got the address and sent some to be collected and put in. Like all the 1.6's in one slot to choose from.
    Most (Well, many) Toyota's use the same diameter shims.

    Or you can buy a kit.....I forget the name but for bikes it's 'HotCams'.
