so I have to get new tires soon for my truck. I'm currently running 265/70r17s and I want to get 285s. My current tires weigh 55lbs and the ones I'm looking at weigh 44lbs. I'm not real sure if the size vs weight will even put a little on my gas mileage. So I really just wanted to see what kind of gas mileage people were getting running 285s with the 4 cylinder.

Lower weight helps, but the biggest issue with increasing tire size is that it also increases the gear ratio, which, imo, is too high already with the 2.7 even on stock diameter tires. May want to look into replacing gears as well if you really want to run 33's.

Hey man! Did you ever upgrade to 285s? I’m currently running 265/70/17 and was thinking of throwing on some 285’s!
