Sorry guys non Tacoma related but i do have one :)

This forum is by far the best at getting back to you on any topic so hope you guys can offer advice.

Just getting around to mess with the Mustang and start getting the pieces to upgrade and fix my stereo system and this whole week I've been trying to find that 5 channel amp to drive my entire system and looks like for what I want to pay, I may just have to go with 2 amps since the Hifonics Brutus brx 5000 it seems is not in stock and on ebay they said they werent getting anymore in and the Memphis belle is up for bid only and that amp is 2 long for where i want to mount in car anyway. I want at least 1000x1 for my subs (more than likely sundown audio E-10's) and that hifonics amp was one of the only ones that had a decent real good price on. So if I was not going to upgrade my electrical system to the Big 3 upgrade, how much more of an impact would 2 amps have vs the one Hifonics amp? In case I would have to resort to 2

I still have my Orion hcca 225 which would be 400 w @ 1 ohm for 2 subs but I want more power now and using the sundowns I definitely want more power. I may be satisfied with 300x2 or so if i went with Kickers and I actually liked the kicker amp in best buy but I'm more than likely wanting to stick to my guns and go with what I pretty much decided in the sundowns and at least 1000 w for the subside of the amp to push them though I think i will be satisfied with kicker, the first thread I created guys pretty much convinced me to try what they told me about

Don't buy hifonics stuff. It will blow. Its listed specs are not correct, either.

If Total "watts" are the same, Generally speaking the total Amps drawn is the same given the same Amp class topology for Mid and Sub amps. No point in discussing amp efficiency etc for this matter

someone recommended the Memphis belle but it seems its hard to get also and the seller on ebay is accepting bids only and unaware of how much they have. I'm not trying to break the bank on amps but am going to get a good one so whatever I have to do I will just have to go ahead and save a little more. I would like to know though 2 amps vs 1 as far as impacting electrical systems and any other 5 channels you recommend or know of that's reasonable for what power range I'm looking for mainly for my 2 10's?

The h500 has what you need but the only down side is 500Wrms @ 2ohms and you want a 1000. GO separate amps if your looking for an ACTUAL 1000wrms on the subs

No you don't need to call amp techs,
First, you need a stated budget and all the different parameters that need to be considered, amount of space you have etc

is it 1 ohm stable, doubling the watts possibly?

if I go 2 amps it will be one probably a mono amp for subs or a 2 channel capable of putting out 1000 minimum clean power @ 1 ohm or so and then a 4 channel for the Hi's

No its not stable at 1 ohm.

But yes based on what your asking for
    Mono Class D for Subs
Class AB 4 channel bridged for front mids

ok yeah I'm going to be running a polk audio 6 1/2 comp set for front and since I have 2 kenwood 6x8 full ranges I will use those in rear deck. I will run something around 60-100 rms x4 to those.

2 amps total at the most so i won't run 2 sub amps so definitely have to have just ONE for the subs if i went with 2 amps total.

    also,
I can use my orion 225 hcca possibly on Hi's but not sure since I've always heard it pulled a lot of power. I always ran a stiffening cap and didn't to be honest noticed current draw or anything and even running 2 amps though my Hi's amp has always been average and overrated lol.

I think the 225 hcca will be 50x2 @ 2 ohms and might can use it on Hi's but not sure I want to. I will be running a set of polk audio 6 1/2 component set and have already 2 kenwood fullrange 6x8's for rear deck but I don't think I would have or be able to separate the crossover functions properly in the head unit for both sets of speakers???????
