I just bought a boat this summer and am starting to think about Winter storage.

This boat has a dual battery setup and I was looking into getting a battery tender so I'm not buying batteries in the spring.

    Storage is semi-enclosed with electrical.

    What brand would you recommend?

Also, I'm considering just leaving the batteries in the boat with the batteries switched off, but on a tender. Temps around here get below freezing, but not really much below that.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Battery tender brand. I use it all year long, unless the boat is being used often

If you leave them on a tender you'll be fine with keeping them installed. My ATVs used to sit all winter with temps down to -50° in unheated storage with a cheap trickle charger on them. The same charger kept my snowmachine batteries good all summer. Never lost a battery.

Thanks! I’ve had the boat winterized and just got 2 separate chargers since the only dual locally was much more than the 2 singles.

I’ve been using a NOCO Genius charger/tender. It’s worked great. They have many variations found on Amazon.
