Hey everyone, just joined Tacoma World so this is my first thread. So heres the deal, i've got a 2001 Double Cab Prerunner that I just finished doing the Eibach-Bilstein 5100 combo suspension lift. Looks great! But I was wondering if it would still look good if I added a 2'' bodylift. I've seen 3'' body lifts and they look horrible. But thats 50% more lift then the 2", so I thought 2" would look better. Pictures would be great! Thank you guys

If you are bound and determined to do a body lift then I agree with the BluePearl 1" at most.

Is that because of safety and performance issues or for aesthetic reasons?

Mostly safety, it will put too much stress on the bolts past a 1inch block

More than 1" usually requires extensive modifications to the drive shaft, brake lines, shifter, etc. I did a 3" on a 99 Ranger and it was a massive project.

Where did you find a 1" or 2" body lift? I'm getting ready to do a lift on my 2001 4x4 X-Cab. Was originally looking at a 3" suspension and 2" body lift to run 33's (18" rims), but am being told they don't make a 2" body lift for a 2001 and the only option is 3".

Now with a total 6" lift, I was looking at 325/65/18. Has anyone had issues with this combo?

I used a 1" kit from them on my 99 a I had 6 or 5 years ago. Worked great

The feedback I got was that they didn't make a 1" or 2" body lift for 2001-2002. If anyone knows of one, please let me know the brand name.

all the lines are attached to the frame, driveshaft wouldn't need anything. there is some wiggle room but the shifter might need an extension and possible brake lines coming off the master or ABS

you should be able to run 33's with a 3" lift, unless you plan to flex it out :D

Did you even read the page from that link? It clearly states 95.5 to current Tacoma.
