Any tips for getting two car seats in the back seat? I have an 18 month old in a rear facing and will need to add an infant in a month?

I do think there are other members that used the thin profile type of baby seats for there infants. Hopefully some of them can chim in.

I just had two matching (as close as possible) grey Graco car seats. I did purchase some car seat protectors. Great for capturing spills and food. I would go ahead and purchase what you need at the same time so it all matches. That way you don’t have to track anything down.

Edit - Don’t forget the rear facing mirror to be able to see the infant in your rear view.

Don’t put either in the middle back...I did so I could push my seat back and the damn seat left impressions that ruined the middle as a seat. Came up on resale of my 2018 and almost screwed the deal! But both weren’t rear facing- only one was- not even sure that they would fit like that but wanted to send out the warning!

Rear facing is tough. Forward facing is manageable. Boosters are even more manageable.

Our kids forward-face in Graco 4ever seats. They're a little bulky and I have to scoot my seat up a tad, but we've done a roadtrip or two in the Tacoma and it was fine. Most of the time we use my wife's Suburban.

A lot of Tacoma owners say the Diono brand fits our trucks well. They have a thinner profile and they fit the natural contour of our rear seat angles really well. They're expensive though.

My oldest is graduating to a highback booster and we went with the Chicco Kidfit. It fits really well in the Tacoma.

My kids are 2yo and 4yo for reference.

I’m in the same boat with 2 rear facing car seats in the back. I like the Diono seats the best since they’re narrower and seem to fit better in the space. The Diono is also easier to get the kids in and out of when they get a little bigger.

You might get by for a few years, but you're gonna need a bigger truck.

I put two Diono Raniers in the back, and I’m 5’ 10”. I’m not sure if there are really any tips to give regarding car seat installation. You click the buckles on the LATCH metal pieces and tighten it down.

For real, you should look into a family vehicle, not a Tacoma .

A 4door Tacoma is plenty a family vehicle, don't give in to the disease of more if you don't need to. If I can fit multiple car seats in a focus hatchback and Kia soul prior to getting my Tacoma you can make it!
