OME is more maintenance free/durable. Fox will give you a better ride.

Perfect. Go with 884s then, or you'll be nose high all winter long

Now that the thread is on the shell subject, I bought my truck used with a Leer topper on it. Took it off 20 mins after I got it home, covered it up, haven't looked at it since hahahah

    OME 3" lift, 265/75/16 KO2s, 35% tint
standard length 5100s with dakars is not ideal because they provide more than 2" of lift.

I have a "hybrid" 885x with 5100s in the front, Dakar with 2nd OL removed and nitro in the rear - it works well for me

Just a thought... What if everyone on this thread went to rough country and wrote a nice little review on their product.. maybe save an in-experienced guy some money.
They'd probably delete every review since all the ones on there are fake anyway...

FYI..... the shocks that OME pairs with the dakars (OME 60091 ) are 14.17in collapsed and 23.58 extended. the 5100's are all of about a 6/10ths shorter. That stated yes if you wanted more flex, rock the OME in the rear.... and the 6112's in the front.

In the couple of the OME kits i have put on vehicles as well as the OME N182's im running in the rear of my truck (did this as they are the longest travel stock replacement rear shock). I have never been overly joyed by their build quality.... the bilstein stuff's fit n finish has always been far better.

OP could always go with an icon stage 1 kit, for full coilover sexyness, and rear rebuildable shocks n throw a leaf pack in and boom, nice lift under 2k.

i went with icon CO's, up here in BC, might have not been the best choice with the winters but will just have to keep up on maintenance

I have zero complaints about my Wheelers HD pack. Great with my shell on and loaded with my tool box and gear. Not that bad with nothing in the bed either. Good guys to deal with also.
Icon 2.O shocks in the rear.

Coil overs aren't exactly designed to withstand the salt all that well, apparently Fox is worse than Icon however so far mine still look great through this winter!
