I may have pulled the trigger to soon. I tend to do that. Shoot first and ask questions later. I recently purchase 285/65 r18 toyo open county tires and 18x9 rockstar wheels with 0 offset with a 2" leveling kit.. I was assured by the sales staff that they would not rub.. 20 min later as I am backing into my driveway.. What do you know?? Grrrrr my new tires are rubbing!! And the shop is closed for the weekend!! I have a 2012 2wd 4dr Trd sport!! Will cutting my fenders remedy this?? And if so by how much?? Or should I kick and scream Monday morning and tell them to put the 3"-1" leveling kit on it?? Or is there another way?? Please guys help me out!! Thanks

You still have mud flaps on? Is it rubbing th frame right behind the tire?

A little rub don't hurt. Just let it rub for a few turns, then you will be able to spot where it rubs by where the paint has come off. Or if it's the frame, it will be nice and shiny. Then you can cut from there

If you have your front mud flaps on still it's probably rubbing on them. Do you have 4.5" bs on your wheels? If so it's probably rubbing the flaps pretty bad and may rub on the cab mounts too at full lock with the flaps off.

OP, I too have a 2012 4 door TRD Sport 2wd short bed, and I am wanting to level it out when I buy my next set of tires (will be a while). I'm interested to know what you end up doing about this.. keep us posted in this thread!
