So i have my first tacoma (2006 prerunner sr5 silver 2wd 4dr) and would like to do a 2" lift as this wont affect the ride quality but still give me the extra ground clearance. I have done my research and seen the pros and cons of lifting a truck as well as the prices associated with it, but id like the opinion of those owners that have done this with their trucks as well as their suggestions for doing so and how it has worked out for them. So any help is appreciated

    05 pre-runner with a few mods.
leveling kit installed with a 3in.lift, Carr side steps, ride- rite air bags, bigger tires- b.f.g's, custom ultamate rack for my quads, Kayak rack for boating excursions, seat covers, no emblems on tailgate, even took off the trd decals from the truck bed, ALL BLACK!
I INSTALLED THE DAYSTAR LEVELING KIT WHICH GAVE ME I THINK 3" IN THE FRONT & 1.5" IN THE BACK. THEN I INSTALLED FIRESTONE RIDE RITE AIR BAGS TO HANDLE HEAVY LOADS, LIKE MY QUAD HAULER RACK, ON- BOARD GENERATOR AND TWO QUADS.

I am wondering how mpgs are effected as well as how you use the above truck? As in do you use it as an everyday driver or as an off road toy or both? Also would you recommend this size lift or a 3 in lift for use as an every day driver and weekend off roader?
