2" lift front stabilizer link issue

On the links of my front stabilizer bar the lower grease boots are torn open... (only 30,000 miles since lift was done back in 2008.) Looks like the lift caused it from the angle and added stress. Those with 2-3" lifts... what are you doing for this? Are you still using the stock links or did you find a source for 1-2" extended ones?

I run a 3” icon lift and used brand new Toyota links, have not had an issue

 

The lift i've had on since 2008 is a 1" hockey puck (2" of lift) with a aal in back. Getting a Icon stage 8 installed next week. Going to install some upgraded standard size links today and with this new lift (going with the factory height setting on the front coilovers) hopefully it will work out. If not i'll be looking into extended links down the road.

 

Stabilizer End Links are happy when they are level. Maybe look into a stabilizer bar relocate kit.

 

Or the fact that they’re 14 yrs old. Rubber breaks down.

 

A sway bar relocate kit is included with the icon set up i'm getting... hoping that will help out. Looks like your are adjustable... what brand are they?

On my 2.5 to 3 inch lift I have a sway bar relocation and mevotech end links with no problems

There's sway bar relocation brackets/blocks. These come with most front suspension kits and it's basically a spacer block with offset mounting holes. The relocation block mounts to the truck and the sway bar mounts to a new position on the bracket/blocks.. And then there are adjustable sway bar end links. If you lift the front of your truck and want to keep your sway bar, then it is ideal to get an extended end link to compliment the suspension lift. You're looking for this.
