2 more days..and the results for NM big game draw!!

man, i can hardly sleep/eat. wednesday, we find out.

i put in for my annual archery elk tag hail mary..anyone else in the big game draw?

 

I drew unit 51 elk tags!!!

How'd you do?

 

I would love to come over and hunt nm. Can anyone of you offer guide services? I'm looking to hunt buck, rifle.

 

My cousin is a guide here in NM.

 

What's the cost? Do you have his 411?

I'm sorry to hear that. I feel your pain though. I usually get the shaft every year. I typically go up to WY with a buddy and buy over the counter tags.

some work associates assasinated the elk in 51 last year. old timer and his son. the old timer, had to sneak thru a bunch of bulls, one nice 6x6 to shoot a young COW! he said his son was having a heart attack watching his dad pass on the bulls. son arrowed a nice 5x5 a few days later. they found a watering hole. if they didnt draw, i bet i can get them to point it out on map. if they do, i'll forward it to you.

Didn't put in to the draw. I'll do private land down in Unit 24 (Silver City) if I decide to try hunting this year. Last year was my first attempt. Didn't see anything.
