Has anyone successfully loaded two motorcycles in the bed of their taco at once? Either two sportbikes or two dirtbikes, or a dirtbike and a sportbike?? If so do you have a pic?

Reason I'm asking is because that's the main reason i want a taco, to be able to take my bikes places or my bike and a friends bike depending on what we're doing. I'm looking at a step-side for sale, and I'm not sure if it will fit. But doing the research makes me want to make sure that two bikes will fit in the regular bed as well. I've seen pics of two bikes in a 2nd gen before and it seemed to fit fine with extra space between.

I know the width between the wells is 40"s. Does anyone know the height of the wheel wells in the bed? If they're not too high then i can just clear them with the bikes. Certainly the dirtbike since the ground clearnace on them is over 12" but on the streetbike i think it's only 6-8 inches.

Deaver j59 pack 2.5 SAW coilovers, rear bilstein 5100's. Extened stainless rear brake line, deck plate mod, drop in K&N filter, Kenwood headunit & pioneer speakers, SnugTop Shell.
I have put 2 dirtbikes in no problem what so ever. There is still enough room for a cooler and two gear bags. My bikes are a 250 and a 230 but i have fit 2 450's back there without issue also.

I have/do. 03 Pre Runner Xtra Cab 2wd. I have XR600R & CR500R. Neither are sport bikes, but there is a reason they call the XR a 'pig'. Now, the only way side by side is with tailgate open. Otherwise I can get 1 bike in fully and close the gate.

do they fit comfortably with a good amount of room between or is it a tight fit? handle bar overlap? Im looking at a stepside for sale and i know theyhave an 8.7 inch smaller bed width (although same width between the wheel wells)

2 street bikes would be tough. If they are racebikes than maybe because they are prob a little banged up anyway:D but pristine street bike.... I wouldn't do it but that's me.

alright cool. Id still like to see a pic of two streetbikes. But i drew a mock up in my garage. From the look of it two streetbikes will just barely fit in the stepside with NO room for error. Not really what i want. Kinda sucks since i found a REALLY good deal on a step side

Is that a ramp that folds to a bed extender?

    That's awesome!

ah cool. i was starting to get nervous. thanks Shift. If that busa fit with another bike then mine and my brothers 600s will fit. Doesn't look like they'd fit in the step-side though. although i really wish they did
