This is my first Tacoma and owning it has been boring - the way it's supposed to be!

You don't have to look too far for criticisms of the Taco, and many of them are legitimate, but of all the cars/trucks I have owned in 47 years, this Tacoma is my hands-down favorite. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, including G4.

I agree with all of this. I understand it can be cramped for bigger people but it’s been a fantastic truck for me. Coming up on 40,000 problem free miles and I still love it as much as the day I bought it.

I agree with the OP, what a boring thread! Come back and try again later when you have something petty to bitch about.

62000 miles and 5 years later and no problems except the dealer keeps calling me in for service even though I do my own.

    Me either.
Just remember, typical human behavior, before social media, was a satisfied customer told three people. A dissatisfied customer told eleven people.

Same here - have had the Taco for almost two years, bought it two years used, no problems / issues / repairs. Had it inspected (even though it was a "Certified" by the dealer truck) prior to purchase. It doesn't get a lot of miles due to working from home 90% of the time, but it performs well and is slowly getting built into a camping rig. Not planning on doing serious wheeling - just want to be able to get away from organized campgrounds in the northlands of Michigan and potentially out west at some point in the future.

Biggest issue is the near constant calls from the dealer about "needing" service - ummm.... not according to my odometer and the calendar...

Same here since toyotacare. The dealer keeps reminding me of all the service I'm due for. They've sent coupons for all sorts of services...last one for a free oil change that expires next week.

5 years old, and noticed the stock battery was leaking around the top when I was changing my oil on Saturday. New Interstate MTP-24F with 30 month replacement warranty installed today. $175.93 cents from the local Interstate distributor.

Oh yeah, I love this truck.

My 2021 TRD OR was pretty much trouble free for the 2+ years and 25,000 miles I owned it. Just didn't like the automatic transmission behavior so I bought an almost new 2022 TRD OR 6MT. I expect the same boring results.

Let’s liven things up a bit!
    1. What oil do you run and when do you change it?
    2. OE bet mat or did you save 11 sheckles and cut your own?
    3. What LED light bulbs do you run and what electrical gremlins appeared?
