Is the wallet-flush on the list of dealer optional work?

If its covered under toyota care let them do it, If not don't pay them to put $20 worth of material into your car. If you need the Off road diff changed you can use any high quality gear oil for the open diff. LSD is different it is specific gear oil with additives. I have royal purple gear oil in my rear diff, and after changing the diff oil again at 60k, i should have just stuck my finger and did the eye/smell test because it was just as clean when i drained it as when it went in. Your front dif you won't need to change that often because most likely your not driving in 4wd the whole time. Pay for the transmission fluid to bleed and replaces, it'll improve the shifting in the AT. Not to mention even though it's considered world transmission it still needs to get replaces, don't let me BS you. Put some high quality gear oil in your front, rear, and transfer case. Grease your zerks, and lube your moveable aftermarket parts (leafs, and bolts and mounts where bushings go). You can even change the copper 30k plugs yourself, and all the air filters. The OEM toyota filter is decent.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
You know, I agree pretty much with this; I beat the living crap out of my 84 Nissan 720 KC gas and maybe I changed the oil 25 times (and that would be alot) in 300,000 miles (the body crapped out long before the motor) then sold it to my cousin for $75.00, he drove it another five years (and I don't think he looked after it half as well as I did) he then gave it to a Farmer who drove it another five years until the motor finally crapped out.

Don't get me wrong yes keeping the oil as clean as possible is a good thing but maybe all this hype over changing it so often is just that....hype.I mean, look who's doing the selling.images_93e39b9fcdaa37c8579adc9ecab6ecad69134722.jpg
