I have a 6” lift and I run 17x9 with a -38 offset and 33x12.5 open country mt and I needed to trim my bumper maybe 1/2” on an angle to have 0 rub at all... I think any offset less than -38 you wouldn’t need to trim and it wouldn’t rub.

Thanks for the input, bro! Yeah, I was thinking in something around -12 offset. I have Maxtrac, so, the backspace is limited to 4 1/2 inches, I think. Otherwise the wheel can rub on the spindles. Do you have a photo of your truck?

I run a set of Fuel Mavericks in a 20x9 with +14 offset and 5.5" backspacing wrapped in Hancook Dynapro ATM 275/55-20's. I have Bilstein 5100's up front set to the highest clip and Bilstein 5100's with a 2" AAL in the rear. I have the ever so slightest bit of rubbing on the left tire. However, I only have the rub when I back out of my driveway and turn the wheel so I can go left after I back out. The ride is just slightly stiffer than it was with the stock shocks and 265/65-17 wheels & tires.

I role on 20's now as well, my ride is quite nice. I do have some rubbing when I make a turn and hit a bump, 275/55/20. Will be lifting as soon as I
    figure out wth I want.

So I see now. What my brain pictures when it hears 20” in regard to wheels is what I might see driving through certain parts of the city. What I’m seeing now is entirely different, lifted with big wheels. Although not my thing, it doesn’t make me cringe when I look at it.

My xrunner came stock with 18” wheels. I’ve considered upping to 19 but have to remind myself I bought it to use as a truck. Occasional trip to Home Depot, moving a refrigerator, hauling my recycling in.

I remember as a youngster thinking I’d like to own a lifted truck like above. The urge was satisfied from driving a big work truck with a Lincoln bullet welder and big compressor. You see lotsa stuff from up that high.
