Hey I wanted to ask here, I had a mechanic at work recommend painting the hidden hitch I'm getting with a product called POR15. I've never even heard of the stuff, but then I'm not painting raw steel very often. Would that be something folks here could recommend for or against? I've done a few other parts and pieces with Rust-Oleum, self etching primer and then the 2X spray, but I've noticed the paint rubs off down to the primer pretty easily

 

Por-15 is solid stuff but I think it works best on stuff that’s already a little rusty. I could be wrong. It’s also pretty pricey. I’ve always done self etching primer and some satin black paint and never had too much of an issue.
