I myself have 30% in the front and 5% in the back of my access cab. I think its the perfect tint depending on what your going for. I like it during the daytime because it helps block the sun so I can drive comfortably and at night its not to dark but dark enough so that when you drive its difficult for people to see you which is good also in some ways. Either way you should check your tint laws because in CA people still get tickets for 50% in the front. Aside from that I'd go with 35% in the front, anything darker will make driving at night a real hassle.

I had whatever the darkest legal is for Louisiana on my car. One day while going through an Inspection Sticker checkpoint, I wasn't going to stop b/c mine was up-to-date, but the cop (a D1CK, I might add) decided to stop me and check my tint with some contraption. My philosophy is "don't give 'em a reason, b/c they have enough of them already".

6 bed D-rings, 35% front tint, X-PEL threshold, tailgate anti-theft screw clamps and nitrogen in the tires.
I measured my rear factory tint with a tint meter that i have at work. My stock glass measured at 30.1 and 29.9 depending on where i checked it at. When i asked for the man to install 35% (legal in NC) he agreed and used a roll of tint that had 45% written on the box, I wanted to say something, BUT i figured ok this guy probably knows his fecal matter. When mine were cured after about a week i measured the front windows and they measure 34.9% and 35.0%. As it turns out the untinted glass is solar glass and checks at 75-80%(i checked multiple cars that were nearby cause I never knew this!??) and when the 45% is added to the solar glass it will equal 35%. It is as dark as i wanted, and its just on the edge of being able to see well at night in the rain.

They can still ticket you if they want. You're technically suppose to adhere to whatever laws apply to the state you're in. Granted, most cops aren't going to be dicks and ticket an out of state car for tint that may in fact be legal in the state the vehicle is registered in especially since most times the person would just be passing through.

I have 15% on mine. Had 35% on my last vehicle and it wasn't as dark as I liked. I asked the tint place to do 25% but they recommended going with 15% saying it would match better.

No problems with cops yet in the year I've had it. Knock on wood. I've had cops next to me at traffic lights and look over and not bother to care about the tint. You essentially can't really have anything legally in PA on the fronts.

If you're over the age of 20 and obeying traffic laws most cops don't seem to care about window tint

I've been debating the same thing. If it is that much of problem with driving at night, then I doubt I want the 20% like I had planned.

i just had 20% put on my front 2 and 35% on back sides and back window on my 07 dc yesterday and it came out perfect. i was worried 20 all around would be too dark to see out at night so this solved my problem and looks great
