459,550 on my 2000 PreRunner Xcab with 2.7. Swapped out original engine at 284,000. Drive train is all original. Added a TRD Tranny cooler way back when. Really think it helped tranny to last as long as it has. Getting Catalytic Threshold codes now. Since they are original, I can't get upset! Time to replace.

My Nissan hardbody v6 4x4 would never let me down even when I bought a Tacoma and towed the Nissan to the desert, (the Tacoma didn't tow it) I tried to break that Nissan, I would if trusted to drive it home after tons of (mini) jumps tons of rev limits some times for 4-5 seconds truck was a 1986.5 I loved that thing I sold it shortly after the desert trip for 1700$ biggest mistake I've ever made,

303,000 miles 2002 Tacoma; went through several alternators (my own fault), timing belt and idler bearing, other normal maintenance, currently replacing the clutch (anyone know how to support the engine from the underside when removing the transmission?)

    OME and worth every penny.
either stack big boards/jack and board under pan or use hoist up front.

Yeah I agree, I had a 1988 Nissan King Cab 4x4 and that thing was well made, wish they still made them like that.

I have a jack under the front of the oil pan and a piece of wood lodged between a cross-member and the steering rack. The engine is balanced pretty evenly between the motor mounts with all the accessories on it.

    Im pushing 170k.
I havnt done any major maintenance aside from normal oil changes, a trans flush, brake fluid flush.

What was I supposed to do at 150k?
Water pump, belts and timing something?
    Timing belt?
These motors are ......i forget the word... like if a timing belt breaks it causes damage to the internals and can destroy the top end.

I dont get it? It has been posted on pretty steady since then. Should a new thread have been started when an oft posted in thread through the years is already there?

I went with a friend this weekend and looked at this. I think there was like 350k on the odo.
Drove nice but had to many quirks. 78 hilux, 2wd. we both passed on it. $1300.
