I'm at 227k, I runs flawlessly, other than rattles, which I think I'll make a rattelproofing video soon. I recently made a build walk around though if anyone's interested in spreading and sharing ideas.

I am at 231,700 and it runs like a swiss watch (I did have to get the motor rebuilt at 210,000 from a PO's stupid mistake...).

About to hit 300,000 on my 2001 Tacoma pre-runner V6. No rust. Almost nothing done except of timing belt, generator battery, spark plugs and consistent oil changes. At 300,000 planing to give it some care and maintenance. Outside of flush, clean and replace fluids what items would you do? Although technically capable I don't really do work on my own truck unless it is fairly straightforward (or a decent You Tube video, thanks to this forum I have found a few) but I rather know what is involved before giving it over to a mechanic. A few questions for the group:

    1. At that age I probably need to do some work on Brakes & suspension. I have scoured the forum for info on this topic but usually find items related to lifting or off-road. I don't offroad but do a lot of highway miles and would like a smooth ride. I changed the shocks I think about 150,000 miles ago. What would you do for your truck for the next 100,000 miles and in what order? I know there are rubber parts that probably need to be changed, springs? I saw a lot of talk about Bilstein shocks. I probably need to change the strut springs what about anything related to the steering?

    2. There is so much info on this forum I keep doing searches and reading thru builds but does anyone have a 300,000 checklist. Things to look at and inspect.

    3. What site do you guys like to buy from for your aftermarket upgrades?

I'm about 300 miles away from 200K Mi and thinking I might order a set of badges/patches.

This guy on Mud makes a nice set of badges (https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/unofficial-toyota-high-mileage-badges.1006177/)

I like the design of these better myself:
I like the idea of putting badges/decals under the hood just not sure well they would survive there...

@emanuelr15 do you have 100K & 200K patches available? I'd like to see what your stickers look like too.

Wash and wax today, still cleans up not too bad for 17 year old rust belt truck with mostly original paint and original frame in great shape.

205,000 on my '03 and it still runs great. As long as you take care of it and change oil/trani fluid as needed, it'll last a while. My friend has an '01 Tundra with 500k miles that still runs great.
